Cairo - Mubasher: The governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) stressed to Mubasher on Tuesday that Egypt is committed to meeting all of its obligations on time.
Tarek Amer negated that Egypt has requested the delay of repaying a Saudi deposit of $500 million, in a massage to Mubasher, saying that such claims are not true.
Last May, the Egyptian cabinet approved the Saudi grant agreement with a total value of $2.5 billion to help boost the Egyptian economy.
In March, Saudi Arabia announced during the Egyptian Economic Development Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh that it is committed to provide $4 billion to Egypt in deposits, projects, and investments, of which $2 billion where given in the form of deposits.
