Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has not secured the $6 billion additional funding required for having the $12 billion International Monetary Fund's (IMF) loan within one or two weeks, said finance minister Amr El Garhy on Monday.
"We are about to provide the addition funding within one or two weeks", the minister indicated in comments on a talk show by a TV channel, CBC.
The government would issue international bonds during the second half of November or by the first week of December.
Earlier, Egypt received $4 billion from the GCC and development agencies, $1 billion from the UAE, $2 billion from KSA and $1 billion from the World Bank to close the funding gap.
