Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s government is expected to sign an agreement with the winning consortium led by Orascom Construction to establish the 6th of October - new capital monorail project before the end of June, the country’s transportation minister, Kamel El-Wazir, said.
The consortium, which also includes Arab Contractors and Canada’s Bombardier, are conducting talks with the Egyptian government concerning establishing two high-speed monorail lines, El-Wazir revealed in a statement on Thursday.
The country’s transport minister also discussed the possibility for cooperating with Bombardier in implementing several projects including the first phase of the Abu Qir electric train and the electric train connecting between Mansoura and New Mansoura.
