Cairo – Mubasher: The joint supreme committee of the Egyptian transport and housing ministries has met to review the tender document of the high-speed rail project. The new railway line will link Ain Sokhna, New Administrative Capital, 6th of October City, Borg Al Arab, and El Alamein city.
The committee also revised the tender document of the monorail projects in the New Administrative Capital and 6th of October City, in preparation for issuing a bid next Tuesday, 10 July, according to Middle East News Agency (MENA).
Transport Minister Hisham Arafat urged the project's consultant offices to ready all documents for the prequalified alliances next Tuesday.
The competition of the international conglomerates to win the project highlights confidence in Egypt’s investment climate, as well as the importance of these megaprojects to fulfill the development in the North African nation, the minister said.
