Cairo-Mubasher: Suez Canal Authority (SCA) will hold a press conference in February 2016 to announce the investment opportunities available on the Suez Canal Corridor, said Mohab Mamesh, head of the authority.
On the sidelines of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce Conference, Mamesh said the authority is working on the selection of investment projects and submission of them to regulators for approval and fulfillment of all legal procedures.
The official expected a recovery in global trade during the second half of 2016, which will boost the canal's revenues.
So far, 36 foreign investors, mostly from Europe and East Asia, have offered to participate in the Suez Canal projects.
