Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt ranked first as the most popular destination for travellers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) during the second quarter of 2018.
The most populous Arab country maintained its position thanks to “its historical sites, stunning river cruises, bustling markets and all-round value for money,” according to Singapore-based travel search engine Wego.
India came in the second spot in Q2-18, pushing Saudi Arabia to the third spot, while Turkey moved down one place to the fourth position.
Meanwhile, the UAE remained the fifth most popular destination for MENA travellers for the fourth consecutive quarter.
