Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has received 499,800 tourists during November 2016, 10.5% down from 558,600 in September 2015, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The number of tourists from Arab countries reached 139,500 during November 2016, rising 15.9% y-o-y.
The Egyptian tourism was badly hurt following the Russian flight ban to Egyptian resorts after the latest airplane crash in Sinai.
Earlier, Tarek Amer Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt announced the establishment of a fund with capital of EGP 5 billion to finance the development and establishment of hotels and resorts.
