Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s unemployment rate dropped 11.98% during the second quarter of 2017 from 12.5% in the prior-year period, according to a statement by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Tuesday.
The size of labour force increased by 651,000 employees to 29.183 million employees in Q2-17 from the corresponding period of the year before, while the number of unemployed people retreated by 64,000 individuals to 3.496 million in Q2-17, the statement added.
