Egypt unveils new pyramids South Cairo

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government has opened ‘Bent’ Pyramid for visitors, according to Reuters.

The 101-meter structure is located south of Cairo and was built for Pharaoh Sneferu.

Tourists are now able to clamber down a 79-meter narrow tunnel to reach two chambers deep inside the ancient pyramid, which is 4,600 years old.

They will also be able to visit an 18-meter side pyramid build for Sneferu’s wife Hetepheres, which is opened for the first time since 1956.
