Cairo-Mubasher: EgyptAir plane was hijacked with 81 passengers on board, the Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement on Tuesday.
One hijacker thought to be strapped with explosives and forced the pilot to land in Larnaca airport on the south coast of Cyprus.
Passengers were released except for the crew and five foreigners, the ministry added.
