Cairo - Mubasher: EgyptAir resumed air freight services to New York after a three-year suspension following the Russian plane crash over the Sinai Peninsula.
The US was concerned after the incident, but security measures have become greater, a source told Reuters.
Egypt’s flagship airline resumed freight on its commercial flights to New York on Wednesday, the source added, noting that the Egyptian airline also had initial plans to start freight services to Washington.
In October 2015, a bomb exploded aboard the Russian airliner over the Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people on board.
In November 2018, EgyptAir resumed a bi-weekly air freight service to Moscow.
