Cairo – Mubasher: France's Bureau of Investigations and Analysis (BEA) confirmed on Saturday that EgyptAir’s crashed airliner sent messages which indicated that there was smoke inside the plane before it crashed.
“The plane sent automatic messages indicating that there had been smoke on board shortly before data transmission broke off,” a spokesman of the air safety agency told AFP.
“It’s still too early to understand the cause of the accident, as we have not found the wreckage or the flight data recorders", he added.
CNN reported today that data of EgyptAir Flight MS804 showed smoke alerts near the airplane’s cockpit before crashing in the Mediterranean, killing all 66 aboard.
