Egyptian Black Sand inks $60m deal with Australian firm

Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Black Sand Company (EBSC) is set to sign a $60 million deal with Australia’s Mineral Technologies for black sand extraction next week, a top official has said.

Talks with the Australian firm are underway for the deal, which includes the installation and operation of equipment and the training of workers along with the machinery and equipment delivery, Ashraf Sultan, chairman of EBSC, told Al Borsa newspaper.

EBSC has also signed a 20-year usufruct agreement with Kafr El Sheikh governorate for an 80-feddan plot to establish a black sand extraction plant, the top official added.
