Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Cabinet has approved a $2.9 million (EGP 45.82 million) grant from South Korea.
The grant will contribute to a project for the automation of the intellectual property system in the Egyptian Patent Office (EPO), the Cabinet said in a statement released on Wednesday.
The finance will also utilised for the improvement of patent management through the provision of easy access to pubic patents and the establishment of an online portal to serve the public, the statement revealed.
Moreover, the agreement between the Egyptian and South Korean governments includes training EPO’s employees in the Republic of Korea.
