Egyptian GDRs on LSE see group rise in week

Cairo - Mubasher: Egyptian global depository receipts (GDRs) listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) increased this week except for those of Commercial International Bank (CIB).

CIB’s GDRs declined 0.76% closing at $3.93 compared to 3.96 last week.

Similarly the bank’s stock on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) lost 0.15% reaching EGP 48.04 from EGP 48.11.

The GRDs of Global Telecom, EFG Hermes, and Edita all rose by 3.2%, 4.5%, and 4.86% respectively, closing at $1.95, $1.86, and $5.82.

Meanwhile, Domti’s GDR retreated 7.7% on its first day of trade on LSE reaching $2.6, while Egypt Telecom and Orascom Telecom Media and Technology remained unchanged at $3.65 and $0.398 respectively.
