Egyptian-German cooperation portfolio stands at EUR 1.7bn

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s cooperation portfolio with Germany amounted to about EUR 1.7 billion, the Egyptian minister of international cooperation Rania Al-Mashat said.

The cooperation portfolio covered 48 projects, including the rehabilitation of hydropower and sewage plants as well as the construction of projects to improve drinking water, sanitation, and infrastructure services and support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Al-Mashat added in a statement on Sunday.

This came during a videoconference meeting between the international cooperation minister and the German ambassador to Cairo Cyrill Jean Nunn to explore the possible means to accelerate the procedures of the third phase of the debt swap agreement between the two countries.
