Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian National Railway Authority was assigned by the Ministry of Transportation to buy 250 railway wagons to transport containers between different ports and industrial zones.
Minister Hisham Arafat met with officials from 3A International, a company specialised in container transportation, to discuss ways to develop the railway transportation of goods, according to a ministry statement on Wednesday.
Moreover, 261 containers had been transported between Alexandria port, Ain El Sokhna Port, and the container terminal of 3A International delegation in 6th of October City, the company added.
Earlier in March, the Ministry had approved a development program for railway transportation, worth EGP 2.5 billion, in the next two years.
