Cairo – Mubasher: The value of trade exchange between Egypt and Switzerland grew to $917 million in 2019, compared to $905 million a year earlier, Egyptian trade and industry minister Neven Gamee stated on Tuesday.
Key items traded between the two countries included medical products, furniture, agriculture products, electronics, food products, textile, and fertilisers, Gamee added.
The minister noted that Switzerland occupies the 16th place among top investing countries in the Egyptian market, with total investments of $2.144 billion in 433 projects.
The Egyptian market offers major investment opportunities to Swiss businesses, given the economic reforms adopted by the government to improve the business environment, Gamee said.
