Cairo – Mubasher: The number of national e-payment Meeza cards issued by Egyptian banks amounted to 3.2 million at the end of October, the Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) deputy governor Lobna Helal said.
The number of Meeza transactions registered EGP 1.5 million valued at EGP 3.6 billion at the end of last month, she added during a conference held in Cairo on Tuesday.
It is noteworthy that the CBE targets the issuance of 20 million Meeza cards over the coming three years.
