Egyptian cabinet to finalize pensions draft law in March

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Prime Minister said on Monday that the government will finish the draft law for social insurance and pensions and will present it to the parliament in March, according to an official statement.

Sherif Ismail added that the cabinet is working to come up with the best conception to sole the financial entanglements between National Investment Bank (NIB), Social Insurance Funds, and the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

Egypt pledged to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to layout a roadmap to reform pensions and social security systems before next June, as part of the recent loan deal between the two parties.
