Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s communications and information technology (IT) sector is likely to grow to 14% during the first quarter of 2018, Egyptian communications and IT minister Yasser El-Kady forecast.
He added that the communication sector is expected to rise 9.5%, while the IT sector is projected to grow 4.5%, according to state-run news agency MENA.
The communications and IT sector has topped the country’s sectors in terms of growth in the past years, with an average growth rate of 12.5%, the minister highlighted.
In February 2018, the planning minister Hala El Saeed said that Egypt will invest EGP 26 billion in the communication sector over the next period.
