Cairo – Mubasher: Remittances from Egyptian expatriates grew by $2.8 billion or 10.5% year-on-year (YoY) to $29.6 billion in 2020, compared to $26.8 billion a year earlier, according to data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Monday.
During the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2020, remittances of Egyptians living abroad rose by $529.2 million to $7.5 billion, compared to $7 billion in the corresponding period in 2019, data showed.
