Cairo – Mubasher: Remittances of Egyptian expatriates in Jordan amounted to $510 million during the second half of 2015, the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration reported Sunday.
In H2-15, Jordan had offered 2635 job opportunities for Egyptians and ratified a number of employment contracts, the ministry stated.
Egypt received $4.3 billion in remittances from nationals working abroad from July to September, 2015, against $4.7 billion, down $400 million, according to a reported issued by the Central Bank of Egypt.
Egypt relies on Egyptian expatriates’ remittances to cover part of its foreign currency requirements.
