Egyptian gov’t to allocate EGP 1.66bn to Haya Karima Initiative

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government is planning to allocate EGP 1.66 billion to execute 316 projects in a group of governorates across Egypt under Haya Karima (Decent Life) Initiative, planning minister Hala al-Saeed said.

The new projects will benefit 143 villages in 11 governorates, al-Saeed added, according to a statement released on Friday.

The beneficiary governorates include Asyut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, Menia, El Beheira, El Wadi El Gedid, Marsa Matruh, Al Qalyubia, and Dakahlia.

Moreover, the minister noted that Haya Karima Initiative is aimed at improving Egyptian citizens’ quality of life.
