Egyptian investors to set up trade firm in Tanzania

Cairo – Mubasher: Ten Egyptian investors are looking to establish a trade and investment company in Tanzania in a bid to facilitate the export of Egyptian products to the African countries.

The regulations of the company’s establishment will be completed in the next month, a member of the Federation of Egyptian Industries’ (FEI) board of directors and one of the investors in the anticipated company said.

The company will begin operation in the first quarter of 2019, Mahmoud Serg added.

Earlier this month, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated that Egypt is keen to boost its investments in Africa.

Egyptian investments into the African markets rose by $1.2 billion this year, recording $10.2 billion, the president said.
