Egyptian trade deficit down 11% in January

Cairo - Mubasher: Egyptian imports declined in January by 4%, supported by the country’s strategy to support industrial development and trade exchange, the minister of trade and industry, Tarek Kabil said on Friday.

This has led to a reduced trade balance deficit by 11% in the first month of 2018, the minister noted.

The Egyptian minister added that the deficit reached $2.69 billion in January, compared to $3.04 billion, for the same period last year.
