Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Transport and Commercial Services Co (Egytrans) on Wednesday posted a 190% year-on-year hike in profits for the first half of 2017, due to higher sales.
The firm achieved profits worth EGP 61.59 million in the six months ended June 2017 from EGP 21.23 million in the prior-year period, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Revenues grew to EGP 227.18 million in H1-17 from EGP 90 million in H1-16.
Standalone profits stood at EGP 53.11 million in H1-17, compared to EGP 16.07 million in the same period of the year before.
Egytrans’ stock closed Tuesday’s trading session down 3.04% to EGP 9.88, with a turnover of EGP 10.6 million.
