Egytrans profits soar 248% in 9M

Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of the Egyptian Transport and Commercial Services Co (Egytrans) on Thursday showed a 248% year-on-year leap in standalone profits for the first nine months of 2017 due to higher sales.

Net profit stood at EGP 70.7 million in the three-month period ended September 2017, versus EGP 20.3 million in the prior-year period, the firm added in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Sales increased to EGP 240.33 million from EGP 114.69 million in the corresponding period of 2017.

In the first half of 2017, net profit amounted to EGP 61.59 million, compared to EGP 21.23 million in the six-month period of 2016.

Revenues grew to EGP 227.18 million in H1-17 from EGP 90 million in H1-16.

By 11:30 am Cairo time, Egytrans’ stock levelled up 1.18% to EGP 14.52.
