Cairo – Mubasher: El Sewedy Electric, a manufacturer of cable and home appliance, said Wednesday it posted a surge of 230.7% in consolidated net profit or the first nine months of 2015.
The company, in a filing to Cairo bourse, said nine-month profit netted EGP 1.1 billion, taking into account minority interest, up from EGP 333.9 million in the prior-year period.
Meanwhile, standalone financial results for the same period mirrored EGP 151.2 million net profit, down from EGP 204.3 million in the first nine months of 2014.
H1-15 consolidated net profit rocketed by 249.8% year-on-year to EGP 805 million, from EGP 230 million.
