Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi approved establishing a major joint development company between the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone and Dubai Ports International (DPI).
An integrated industrial, logistic, and commercial zone will be set up including all services, residential, and recreational areas, DPI chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem said.
The Suez Canal is one of the most distinct economic areas in the world, and is located near various global markets, he continued, adding that the canal acquires a big portion of world trade, representing the backbone of international maritime transport.
DPI will start implementing projects in the canal area, bolstered by Egypt to finalise projects as soon as possible, according to the statement.
