Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi asserted that the implementation of the economic reform programme will continue.
During his meeting with Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), El-Sisi praised the Egyptian people’s patience and understanding of the recent economic measures, despite their toughness, according to a statement by the presidential spokesman.
Last November, Egypt reached an agreement with the IMF regarding a loan worth $12 billion.
El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s keenness to create a healthy business climate and attract more foreign investments in order to raise growth rates and reduce unemployment and public debt.
