Cairo – Mubasher: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued the presidential decree No. 239 for 2017, which includes the approval of a loan agreement for the expansion of a power station in West Cairo, according to the Official Gazette.
The production capacity of the power plant will reach 650 megawatts after expanding.
On 8 April 2016, the agreement was signed between the Egyptian government and the Saudi Fund for Development, at SAR 375 million ($100 million).
The power plant is expected to start operating in March 2019, according to a previous statement.
