Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi calls for creating a new urban community for workers at the agricultural project of Mostaqbal Misr, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday.
The project aims at providing agricultural products to citizens at reasonable prices.
The cost of mega projects like Mostaqbal Misr is very high at the beginning, but it goes down with expansions that partly reduce the cost burden on the government, El-Sisi noted.
The president revealed that the electricity cost of the project amounts to about EGP 1 billion.
The country will add 200,000 feddans of agricultural land by the end of 2021 and another 200,000 feddans in 2022.
The cost of adding one feddan of agricultural land stands at EGP 200,000.
