Cairo – Mubasher: Elsewedy Education is in talks to establish branches of several foreign universities at The Knowledge Hub in the New Administrative Capital, the firm’s chairman said.
The company aims at setting up universities with various fields and curriculums based on the global standards, market demands in five years, and the competitive industries in Egypt, Ahmed Elsewedy told CBC TV’s Hona Al Assema.
Students will be globally eligible for competition once they graduate, Elsewedy added.
On Monday, Elsewedy Education signed a strategic partnership with the British Coventry University to establish a university in the New Administrative Capital.
The Egyptian firm has earmarked around EGP 6 billion to EGP 7 billion in investments for setting up its first project.
The university will be built in up to 10 years and will be financed by the company, as well as through credit facilities from some of the local banks.
