Elsewedy Electric’s unit, Egypt’s NUCA ink EGP 365m deal

Cairo – Mubasher: El Sewedy Electric for Trade and Distribution, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric Co., has signed an EGP 365 million contract with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).     

The contract stipulates the execution of works related to the electromechanical high-voltage (HV) cables tunnel project, which will link between the stations in the New Administrative Capital, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.

The 12-month project will be effective once the first instalment is received.

Earlier in October, El Sewedy Transformers, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric, concluded two contracts worth EGP 433 million with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC).

In August 2019, Elsewedy Electric sealed an agreement with Toyota Tsusho for designing and building two photovoltaic solar power plants with a capacity of 50 megawatts (MW) each.
