Cairo – Mubasher: Elsewedy Electric said Sunday that two subsidiaries have signed two contracts worth QAR 80 million (EGP 195 million) for carrying out a project in Qatar, according to a bourse filing.
On 30 June, Elsewedy Power System and Elsewedy Cables – Qatar have been awarded a contract for designing, supplying, and constructing a transformer station with isolated gas system, Elsewedy added.
The new contracts are expected to be carried out within 14 months as of signature date.
Earlier, Elsewedy obtained approvals from Angolan authorities to establish three electricity generation stations worth $484.5 million.
