Dubai – Mubasher: The main index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Wednesday’s session falling 0.63% or 22.45 points to the level of 3,519.71 points.
Trading volume increased to 397.75 million shares from 338.53 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also rose to AED 619.09 million from AED 328.81 million.
Market analyst, Mahmoud Diab, told Mubasher that closing below the level of 3,520 points may lead to more declines in the upcoming sessions to 3,480 points.
The real estate sector dropped 1.19% as Emaar topped losers with a fall of 2.46%; the investment sector shrank 0.76% as Dubai Investments declined 1.25%.
The transportation sector fell 0.23% due to a 1.23% decrease in Aramex; the banks sector slid 0.17% due to a 0.36% fall in Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB).
Meanwhile, the insurance sector rose 0.6%, backed by an increase of 7.7% in Dar Al Takaful.
