Dubai – Mubasher: The stock of Emaar Properties rose on Thursday on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) after the company unveiled a new project in Dubai.
By 11:12 am UAE time, the stock added 0.35% to AED 8.73, with a turnover of AED 16.55 million, after 1.89 million shares were traded.
Earlier on Thursday, Albayan newspaper reported citing informed sources as saying that Emaar Properties was planning to launch Vida Zabeel project in Dubai’s Zabeel region.
The project is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to the sources.
Emaar Properties’ gains were positively reflected on the DFM’s real estate sector, which went up 0.25%.
Meanwhile, the main index added around 0.27% or 9.87 points to 3,647.42 points.
The DFM’s trading volume reached 163.92 million shares, generating AED 196.24 million, through 2,183 transactions.
