Emaar Properties to operate EGP 8bn hotels in Egypt - Alabbar

Cairo – Mubasher: Emaar Misr, a subsidiary of UAE-based Emaar Properties, will operate some of the hotels in Marassi with more than EGP 8 billion in investments.

The names of these hotels to be announced later, chairman of Emaar Properties Mohamed Alabbar said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Tuesday.

Alabbar highlighted that Emaar Hospitality Group is currently developing a number of hotels, including Al Alamein Hotel in Marassi, as well as Marassi Golf Resort and Spa.

Marassi Golf Resort and Spa, which is projected to be opened in 2020, will feature breathtaking lakes and outstanding playgrounds, he noted.

It is worth noting that Emaar Hospitality has begun the renovation and redesign work of Al Alamein Hotel, located in Marassi by Sidi Abdelrahman Bay.

Al Alamein Hotel is scheduled to re-open in the summer season of 2018 and will feature 189 rooms, including luxury chalets, in addition to a beach outlet, a rooftop lounge, a fully-equipped fitness centre, swimming pool, tennis court, and spa, according to a recent statement by Emaar Properties.
