Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Wednesday lower, pressured by leading real estate developer Emaar.
At 10:30am UAE local time, the index fell 0.32% or 10.3 points to reach the 3198.92 level.
The local markets are still moving in a downward trend amid speculations and the wait-and-see policy adopted by major investors, analysts told Mubasher.
The services sector led decliners with a loss of 0.76% as Amanat slipped 1.05%.
The real estate sector came second with a fall of 0.7%, hurt by Emaar which dropped 1.01%. Arabtec kept unchanged.
On the positive side, the investment was the only sector which moved higher, rising 0.02%.
A total of 31.36 million shares changed hands through 518 transactions at a turnover of AED 31.7 million.
