Dubai – Mubasher: Emaar Properties offered tender for the largest shopping centre in the world at a value more than AED 15 billion.
Emaar Properties told the companies to bid their offers by 17 December as a deadline, according to MEED.
The are three consortiums namely: ALEC Engineering and Contracting LLC (ALEC), with Arabian Construction Company, and Dutco Balfour Beatty.
The second firm is China State Construction Engineering Corporation, and the third consortium consists of: a major Lebanese contracting company, with Shapoorji Pallonji Group, and Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co Ltd.
The companies which were requested to offer their offers were: Belhasa Six Construct, Samsung Construction, and Tishman Construction Corporation
The shopping centre is expected to cover an area of three million square metres, including 1.7 million square metres for commercial outlets, and 550,000 square metres for residential areas.
