Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Sunday and the week in the green on the back of Emaar Properties’ rise.
By 10:25 am UAE time, the DFMGI gained 0.21% or 5.16 points to reach 2,519.50 points, despite wide anticipation among investors ahead of financial disclosures.
The transport sector led risers, adding 0.64% after Aramex increased 1.23% to AED 4.10, while the insurance sector was up 0.47% after Salama grew 1.24% on the back of forecasts of new mergers and acquisitions in the UAE’s insurance sector.
The investment sector rose 0.45% after Dubai Investments added 0.8%, while the real estate sector gained 0.22% on the back of Emaar Properties’ 0.5% increase.
In the meantime, turnover amounted to AED 10.64 million after 6.017 million shares changed hands through 158 transactions.
