Riyadh – Mubasher: Emerson Automation Solutions on Tuesday announced opening a new manufacturing facility at the Dammam First Industrial City in Saudi Arabia.
Through its facility the company seeks to expand its local manufacturing, project execution and service capabilities, it said in a statement.
The 1,100 sq.m. facility in Dammam will provide engineering, staging, commissioning, operational support, maintenance support, repair, field services and training support to customers in the capital of KSA’s eastern region.
It will be dedicated to controlling safety systems, reliability technologies and remote automation solutions for wellheads, pipelines and terminals, Emerson added in its statement.
The facility is capable of manufacturing integrated control and safety system components including network devices, workstations, controllers, and I/O modules, as well as perform simultaneous staging of up to 100 system cabinets.
“This will help customers to shorten project schedules and efficiently test systems for faster commissioning and start-up,” the company revealed.

Strengthening Emerson’s local manufacturing capabilities will allow the implementation of new solutions, creation of new jobs, and contribution in the development of the Saudi Arabia's manufacturing sector.
This expansion will also boost the company’s Saudisation progress, which is currently at 59%.”
“We take pride that we are leasing this facility from the Prince Sultan Fund for Women Development, a non-profit aiming to empower Saudi women to contribute to the overall national development. This echoes Emerson’s commitment to creating a global workforce that embraces diversity and inclusion,” Kraft added.
Alongside its new Dammam facility, Emerson has facilities in Al Khobar, Jubail, and Dhahran Techno Valley. It is also working on establishing a Technology and Collaboration Center in Dhahran Techno Valley, which will likely be inaugurated later this year.
