Dubai - Mubasher: Emirates District Cooling (Emicool) a subsidiary of Dubai Investments, announced on Sunday that it has been awarded a concession contract for 25 years to provide full-fledged district cooling service system for The “Akoya” project.
The contract covers chilled water system for all residential buildings within the project which is developed by Damac properties.
Emicool will deliver 15,340 tonnes of refrigeration chilled water from its plant at Hessah Street to the Akoya site through pipes, valve chambers and heat exchangers stations, according to the company’s statement.
The new contract will cater to more than 2,500 customers once the project is complete, and is set to increase Emicool’s productive capacity by 5% escalating the refrigerating tonnes per hour (RTH) production to 440 million RTH by the end of 2017.
