Dubai – Mubasher: The Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey to establish a business council, according to the chamber’s press release.
“This council will focus on attracting Turkish investments in the economic sector in accordance with the UAE’s government Vision 2021,” Mohammed bin Salem, the secretary general of the chamber, said.
More than 69 commercial companies and more than 73 commercial agencies were registered with the UAE Ministry of Economy by the end of 2015, bin Salem added.
By the end of 2015, the commercial cooperation between the UAE and Turkey reached $7.4 billion, including the free zones, while in the first half of 2016 it stood at $4.2 billion.
