Emirates, Uber to offer UAE travellers discounted airport rides this summer

UAE – Mubasher: Dubai-based airline Emirates announced it has partnered with Uber to provide discounted airport transfers for travellers in the UAE this summer.

This partnership will help Emirates Economy Class Flex Plus and Economy Class Flex customers to get free or discounted airport rides to and from the Dubai International Airport (DXB) on bookings made until 31 August 2019, according to a press release.

Economy Flex Plus customers can benefit from two free rides to and from DXB from anywhere in Dubai at a value of up to AED 120 per trip, Emirates said, adding that they can get 50% off two rides at a value of AED 60 per trip.

Khalid Bel Jaflah, Emirates’ divisional vice president commercial operations UAE and Oman, said: “We are very pleased to strengthen our partnership with Uber and extend this popular offer to customers in our home market of Dubai. We remain committed to providing a fantastic customer experience for our customers in the UAE so they can enjoy a seamless journey on the ground and in the air.”

Furthermore, Emirates passengers visiting Dubai from over 50 global destinations within North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Australasia, and Far East can use the Uber promotion code offer, Emirates said.

Under the partnership, the Economy Flex and Economy Flex Plus travellers can also “enjoy up to 35 kilograms of baggage allowance, complimentary meals and beverages on-board, and the warm hospitality of the airline’s famed Cabin Crew.”

Moreover, passengers are allowed to connected their family and friends during the flight with up to 20 MB of Wi-Fi and they can enjoy watching 4,000 channels of movies, music, and TV programmes on the award-winning in-flight entertainment system, ice.
