Emirates Airlines jet collides with aircraft in Singapore; none injured

Dubai – Mubasher: Two planes collided on the ground in Singapore, of which one was owned by the UAE’s Emirates and the other by Scoot Airlines.

The Emirates aircraft collided with another plane at Changi Airport in Singapore, the UAE-based airline said on Thursday.

Singaporean media sources reported that the Emirates jet suffered exterior damages, but no injuries were reported.

The left wing had some damages after coming into contact with the Emirates’ aircraft before taking off, the Singaporean Street Times journal reported, citing a Scoot official as saying.

"Emirates flight EK405 from Singapore to Dubai on 30 March was slightly damaged during pushback. Engineering inspections determined that some repairs will be required and as a result, all our affected passengers have now been rebooked on alternative flights,” said an Emirates spokesperson.
