Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Emirates LNG finished all studies related to on-shore plant for importing and evaporating natural gas in Fujairah, said Faisal Al Mulla, Head of HR & Corporate Support Services.

On the sidelines of World Future Energy Summit held in Abu Dhabi, Al Mulla added that Korea Gas Corporation and France’s Technip conducted the feasibility study and designs for the project.

Dhabi-listed Emirates LNG is expected to award contracts for the plant construction after receiving the government’s approval.

Scheduled to be finished in the fourth quarter of 2018, the project is expected to receive the largest LNG carriers.

He noted that there are a number of major companies from Japan, Koream Europe and Asia are competing over the project.

Al Mulla noted that the project will provide the UAE natural gas pipeline network with 1.2 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day or nine million tons of LNG on a monthly basis.
