Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Emirati sole integrated steel plant, Emirates Steel, will participating in the Big 5 International Building Construction Show 2019 for the ninth time in a row, showcasing its world-top steel products, services, and solutions with local and regional construction pioneers.
Emirates Steel offers a distinguished range of top steel products to national, regional, and global clients, including hot-rolled structural steel sections that have been used in iconic architectural projects such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, said a press release on Sunday.
During the three-day event which kicks off on Monday, 25 November, the Emirati firm will delve more into understanding customers’ specific requirements as well as future industry trends while analysing the market’s current status.
The Big 5 event will gather up over 68,000 construction professionals at Dubai World Trade Centre, hosting an exhibition of more than 10,000 innovate products and solution.
On this occasion, the CEO of Emirates Steel, Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, added, “The construction sector has been one of the key industries in the GCC. More than $2.5 trillion of planned and un-awarded projects in the region, with the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia responsible for 75% of this anticipated investment.”
He further added, “Despite that the Steel demand in MENA is expected to decline by 4.0% in 2019, we will witness an increase by 1.1% in 2020, according to a recent report issued by the World Steel Organization Economic Committee.”
It is worth noting that Emirates Steel is a subsidiary of the General Holding Corporation (SENAAT).
