Dubai – Mubasher: The foreign exchange trading volume between China and United Arab Emirates is expected to reach $100 billion by the end of 2015, which makes UAE the most important trading partner in the Middle East, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.
The trade exchange between the two countries rose by 35% in the past 10 years, said Chen Xiaodong, director general of the West Asian and North African Affairs Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
During his meeting with the Arab media delegation at the headquarters of Chinese Foreign Ministry, Xiaodong also said that there are more than 200,000 Chines people in UAE and the Emirati investments strongly exist around China. The number of flights also increased to more than 60 flights per week.
UAE acquires around 60% of China's merchandise exports to Africa and the Middle East, as it re-export them to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Africa and Europe.
